But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. ~ *Matthew 6:16-18* *This is part 2 of 4* Yesterday we started analysing fasting as a Weapon to remove obstacles. Today being THE ASH WEDNESDAY let's look at Fasting as an act of Worshiping God. Fasting is not a replacement for faith in Jesus. It is a servant of faith in Jesus. Fasting is a way of saying with their stomachs and their whole bodies need, want, and trust Jesus. It is a way of saying that Christians are not going to be enslaved by food as the source of their satisfaction. This is one form of worshipping. Food is a gift from God, and believers glorify God with it in two ways, not just one way. *They feast on it with gratitude for God’s goodness, and they also forfeit food out of hunger for God himself.* When feasting, Christians gladly taste the emblem of their heavenly food: the Bread of Life, Jesus Himself. *Both feasting and fasting are worship for Christians.* They both magnify Christ. Of course, both have their peculiar dangers. The danger of feasting is that we fall in love with the gift, and the danger of fasting is that we belittle the gift and boast in our willpower, our discipline. At its best, Christian fasting is simply a heartfelt, body-felt exclamation point at the end of the sentence “I love you, God. I need you more than I need food and drink, more than I need my life.” So we forfeit food just to pay attention and humbly hear what God Says, as we also emphasise our grievances before Him. *HALLELUJAH* To Be Continued ~ *PRAYER* ~ Dear Almighty God, one of the fruits of The Spirit is self-control. Which I can’t develop myself, but I pray that, by the Power of the Holy Spirit You would develop this Self-control in me. Yes Lord, I need it today as I engage in this fast. WHO IS A RIGHTEOUS PERSON? EZEKIEL 18 VS 5 TO 9. In the above scripture GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF told us the person He knows as a righteous person. The people He declared righteous are not those who goes to church, singing and dancing, preaching the gospel, church workers or pastors and prophets. PLEASE READ BELOW AND OBSERVE CAREFULLY : EZEKIEL 18 VS 5 TO 9. VS 5, Surpose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right. VS 6, He does not eat at mountain shrines (EATING IDOL FOOD) or look to the idol of Israel ( WORSHIPPING IDOL) He doesn't commit murder. Who does not defile his neighbour's wife ( COMMITTING ADULTERY) or have sexual relation with a woman during her period ( MENSTRATION PERIOD) VS 7, He does not oppress anyone, but return what he took in pledge for a loan ( ANYTHING YOU BORROWED RETURN IT BACK TO THE OWNER) He does not commit robbery (STEALING AND FRAUDULENT BUSINESS) But gives food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked. ( HELPING THOSE IN NEEDS AND FEED THE HUNGER) VS 8, He does not lend to people at interest or take profit from them. He withholds his hands from doing wrong and judges fairly between two parties. VS 9, He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my commandments : THAT MAN IS A RIGHTEOUS PERSON, he will surely live, declares the sovereign Lord. NOTE: There are some manner and lifestyle we don't regards them as a sin and hindrance to our eternal life. In that verse 6, God Almighty warned us we should not have sexual relationship during woman menstrual period, it is a sin against GOD ALMIGHTY. If you have be doing it stop, tell God to forgive you, either you are a man or woman. In that verse 8, God Almighty also warned us, when we lend money to our neighbours or brethern we should not add intetest, but only collect the same amount we borrowed them. But if you are into financial institutions - mortgage investment as your business, lending money to customers with interest is not a sin because that is the source of your investment. But add only little interest. It is only if you are a worker or you have your personal business not relating to financial mortgage business, if you lend money to your brethern or neighbours with interest is a sin and the reward is hell fire even though you are not committing other sin. God Almighty also warned us in verse 7, anything we borrowed from someone, we must return it to the owner, except the owner may tell you not to return it, he give you free. If you do not return it is a sin against GOD ALMIGHTY. God also told us we must feed the hunger and cloth the naked. If we don't care for those in needs is also a sin, except you don't have, you are also in difficulties at that period. ADVISE : The kingdom of God is near, repent from sin and evil, because no one knows the particular day of judgment or the last day of his last time, the type of life you lived determine the kingdom you will enter either heaven or hell fire. SIN IS PERSONAL DESTRUCTION. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS YOUR PERSONAL BENEFITS. Live righteous life and refrain from doing evil to your neighbours. The evil you are doing to your neighbours, they may not know you are the one afflicting them , but the angels of God are watching you. Every sin is attached with punishment. The punishment may not be immediate and the second punishment is hell fire if not repented. Confess all your sin to God and repent to avoid the punishment waiting for you because of your past and present sins. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. ~ *Matthew 6:16-18* *This is part 1 of 4* The Christian world will on March 2nd this year start a 40days fasting, a season which runs up to Palm Sunday. But for long, many Christians ask themselves which is the right way of fasting. In this 4 part analysis we try to get close to the answers of common questions lingering in the Christian mind. WHAT IS FASTING Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected His followers to fast, and He said that God Rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means to *voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose* While there is a number of reasons for Christian fasting, the three primary categories fall under Biblical mandates, spiritual disciplines, and health benefits. Reasons for Christian fasting include nearness to God, spiritual freedom, guidance, waiting for Jesus' return and of course, a healthy body. During fasting as the body is devoid of salts, and enough food, it is likely for one to feel sleepy and tired all the time. But instead of giving in to the sleepiness, it is important to stay active. Plan when you will have times of prayer during the day of fasting. Plan readings from Scriptures, a hymnal or a book of prayer for each time of prayer. ● 🤝🏽 *GOOD DAY BRETHREN* I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse, The blessing if you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the LORD your God. ~ *Deuteronomy 11:26-28* Glory Be To The Mighty God MONDAY *28th February 2022* Today's *DIVINE GUIDE* ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA *Giving all we have to God.* *SCRIPTURES* Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. ~ *Acts 5:1-2* If the Ananias era fell upon us today, there would be so many dying in the same way. People don't want to give all that which deserves God. They keep part for themselves. The sudden deaths of Ananias and Sapphira are jarring at first glance. After all, the couple voluntarily gave up part of their profits to the church, so what could possibly warrant their deaths? The problem was that they lied about their gift and withheld money for themselves, desiring the status of the large donation and the appearance of radical generosity in the eyes of the apostles and the other members of the church. Furthermore, Peter says that they allowed Satan to fill their hearts (5:3). They lied to the Holy Spirit (5:4), who had filled their community of believers. In the midst of the church’s miraculous growth, remarkable unity and amazing gospel message, Ananias and Sapphira’s deceitful plan stood as the antithesis of the church’s faith-filled generosity and brotherly love. The Good Shepherd refuses to tolerate wolves roaming freely among his sheep. In contrast, the preceding story of Barnabas (4:36 – 37) reveals the greater truth that authentic allegiance to Jesus is characterized by the kind of cheerful generosity that both honors God and cares for his people. May those who follow Jesus be so struck by his worth, so confident of his care and so committed to his ways that they likewise “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Blind and See Movie

 Once again I thank all our members from Uganda and other countries like South Africa for the love and support they have been showing us all along. Am here to tell you that Blind and see movie has been prosponded till October and so Actors and Actresses of modern Film Company you are reminded to put much effort for the best. A lot was discussed during yesterday meeting at 10:00pm via zoom and we decided to put much effort in spreading the word of God, preaching door to door, carring out crusades , and having international conference, Pastor Florence who is the head of gospel preachers in modern Film Company also encouraged the believers to pray to God as it's written in John 14:12,13 that whoever has faith in Jesus shall do of more wonders and whatever you share ask by his name shall be given unto you.
